Tapestry Weaving Workshop

Plain weaving, shaping, hatching, blending

In this lively and varied workshop with Caron Penney, you will explore the art of tapestry weaving.

The one day course is suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their existing experience of tapestry weaving and expand their knowledge and skills. All weavers can learn techniques including: plain weaving, shaping, hatching, blending, dovetailing and more. The group will also explore warp types and settings. Throughout the one-day workshop reference material will be available, from woven tapestry samples, books, yarns and all students will be given handouts to aid learning. The group should each expect to complete a hand woven sample.
