New Date Added
Due to popular demand a second date, 24 August 2019, has now been added for this workshop.
Join Hannah Lamb from The 62 Group of Textile Artists for this fascinating workshop, Blueprints from the Mill on Saturday 24th August 10-4pm.
This workshop is a one day introduction to the fascinating world of blueprinting, taking inspiration from the historic Sunny Bank Mills. This ‘magical’ photographic process, dating back to the 1840’s, creates beautifully detailed prints on a variety of surfaces.
During the workshop you will learn how to prepare and mix chemicals to print on a range of materials, including textiles and paper. You will take home a collection of print samples and the knowledge to develop your own projects with cyanotype. No previous experience required.
All materials provided. Participants are encouraged to bring items to print with and a list of suitable items can be provided on request. An apron or old clothes are recommended.
Materials cost (chemicals and fabrics): £6 per person payable to Hannah on the day.
