Exploring the global nature of textiles

This autumn the internationally renowned 62 Group of Textile Artists, will be showing a brand new exhibition as part of the 2021 British Textile Biennial. The theme of this years events focuses on the global context of textiles, textile production and the relationships it creates both historically and now.

Members of the 62 Group have created new artworks that investigate this theme from a wide range of viewpoints and divergent textile media.

The exhibition aims to challenge viewers to consider the role that textile plays in all our lives and the many unexpected ways we find connection through cloth.
