The 62 Group of Textile Artists presents The Skill of Narrative & Stitched Textiles, the third talk in their popular annual lecture series at the Fashion and Textile Museum. This lecture will introduce 62 Group members Emily Jo Gibbs and Richard McVetis and their respective projects The Value of Making and The Potential of Stitch.

About Us

In 1962, several young embroidery graduates formed a pressure group which became known as the 62 Group of Textile Artists. Since its establishment, some of the most highly regarded British textile artists have been members. The membership is now international and is achieved through selection.

Joining Us

Membership is open to those of any age, gender or nationality working in any textile media worldwide and applications for new members are considered annually. If you are interested in joining the 62 Group you can learn about the application procedure for membership on our designated page.
